Welcome Becky!
Hearing “Hey ya’ll” each morning is not normal in a NY office, but Becky brings the Southern charm that brightens our otherwise jaded NY mornings. She began working as an intern with MUSE, but proved herself to be such a valuable asset that she is now working full time for both MUSE and LOFT22. Her experience, professionalism, talent, personality and passion make her perfect for our team. We are thrilled to have her – and her daily dance spurts (evidence in image above). We will let Becky introduce herself:
My name is Becky Elmquist and I am from the small town of Sandersville, Georgia (chances are you’ve never heard of this place). I attended the University of Georgia, where I grew to loathe the colors red and black, but have since fell back in love. After four years of becoming a woman and “bulldog,” I moved to Atlanta where I worked for a start-up. As much as I miss my friends now, the big city was calling me.
Last January, I drove a U-Haul to New York City to chase my dreams. Coming from a sales and fashion background, I dove into the fashion industry working at Jason Wu and KCD and have to say it was quite a confusing road, but was very rewarding. I loved Jason Wu so much they basically had to kick me out. Through working at Jason Wu one random press preview day, Alexis and I met and we clicked instantly.I enjoy singing, going to concerts, art and flipping through magazines (when I can afford them). I am excited to be apart of the LOFT22 family.
